LANCASTER, PA — Fulton Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: FULT) has announced the appointment of Richard Kraemer as Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, effective immediately. Kraemer steps into the role following the tenure of Interim CFO Betsy Chivinski, who is set to retire at the end of the year.
Chief Executive Officer Curt Myers expressed gratitude for Chivinski’s contributions, stating, “I would like to thank Betsy Chivinski for her many years of service to Fulton. As Interim CFO, Betsy helped lead the Republic Bank transaction and our common stock issuance, among other notable contributions. We are grateful for her support and wish her well in retirement.”
In his new role, Kraemer will oversee a broad range of financial functions including accounting, treasury, corporate development, tax, financial planning and forecasting, investor relations, procurement, and real estate.
Myers conveyed confidence in Kraemer’s capabilities, commenting, “Rick has a proven track record of leading commercial lines of business, overseeing corporate finance functions and developing enterprise strategies to improve profitability. I am confident he will contribute greatly to our continued success.”
With over two decades of experience in the financial services industry, Kraemer brings a wealth of expertise to Fulton. His previous roles include serving as Chief Banking Officer, where he managed the commercial markets and held profit and loss responsibility for the bank’s commercial business. Prior to this, he was Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, overseeing corporate treasury and finance for an institution with over $60 billion in assets. Kraemer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.
Kraemer’s appointment marks a significant leadership transition for Fulton Financial Corporation as the company continues to strengthen its financial strategies and operations.
