LANCASTER, PA — Fulton Financial Corporation (NASDAQ: FULT) announced Richard Kraemer as its new Senior Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer Designee. Kraemer will officially take over as CFO in the fourth quarter of 2024, replacing Interim CFO Betsy Chivinski, who is set to retire at year-end.
Chairman and CEO Curt Myers expressed gratitude for Chivinski’s service, stating, “She’s been an integral part of this company’s success. We greatly appreciate all of her contributions over the years and wish her well in retirement.”
Kraemer joins Fulton on September 3, 2024, and will manage accounting, treasury, corporate development, tax, financial planning, forecasting, and investor relations. He will also advise the Office of the CEO and the board on financial matters.
“I’m confident Rick is the right person to serve as our next Chief Financial Officer,” Myers said. “He has a proven track record of leading a commercial line of business, overseeing corporate finance functions, and developing enterprise strategies to improve profitability.”
Kraemer brings over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry. Previously, he served as Chief Banking Officer at another bank, overseeing commercial markets and holding profit and loss responsibility for the commercial business. His roles have included Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Financial Officer & Treasurer, where he led corporate treasury and finance for a company with over $60 billion in assets. He has also been Executive Vice President, Chief Financial Services Officer, and Head of Corporate Finance, Corporate Development, and Investor Relations.
Kraemer holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance from Fordham University’s Gabelli School of Business.
