DOYLESTOWN, PA — Fred Beans Automotive Group continues its commitment to supporting education through the Pennsylvania Educational Improvement Tax Credit (EITC) Program. Since joining the initiative in 2011, the company has contributed a total of $3.5 million to local organizations, focusing on scholarships, educational services, and innovative school programs.
As part of its philanthropic efforts, the automotive group pledged $500,000 at the end of 2024. That funding is now being distributed among 15 organizations, reinforcing Fred Beans’ role as a key benefactor in the community. The Heritage Conservancy, a repeat recipient, received $50,000 to promote environmental education through interactive programs.
“Since 2011, we have participated in the Pennsylvania EITC Program, appreciative of the opportunity to redirect funding to support so many education-related organizations and initiatives,” said Beth Beans Gilbert, vice president of Fred Beans Automotive Group. “We know an investment in educational programs and experiences that promote learning and personal growth spur creativity and innovation to make us even stronger as a community.”
Among the beneficiaries, the Bucks County Children’s Museum was awarded $25,000 to fund educational field trips. The funds also support its ongoing renovation, which includes the creation of a Service Station exhibit. The exhibit, honoring the company’s roots with Fred Beans’ first business venture in Yardley, PA, will be unveiled during the company’s 50th anniversary celebrations in late 2025.
Museum Executive Director Kelly Krumenacker emphasized the exhibit’s educational value, stating, “The Service Station Exhibit will provide children with a unique opportunity to practice problem solving and social skills while making real-world connections. We are deeply grateful to the Beans organization for supporting educational experiences at the museum for our guests and the 4,000 school students who visit the museum each year.”
Additional recipients of Fred Beans’ 2024 funding include the Mercer Museum ($75,000), Council Rock Education Foundation ($50,000), and Bucks County Free Library ($25,000), among others. Contributions also benefit a range of programs aimed at preserving cultural heritage, encouraging innovation, and promoting lifelong learning.
