Fashion District Philadelphia Rings in Year of the Snake with Festive Lunar New Year Celebration

PHILADELPHIA, PA — Fashion District Philadelphia is rolling out an extravagant two-week Lunar New Year celebration to welcome the Year of the Snake. From February 1st to February 16th, families and visitors across the region are invited to enjoy a variety of cultural festivities, vibrant decorations, and special retail promotions at the Center City shopping hub.

The celebrations kick off on Saturday, February 1st, with an exciting event from Noon to 2:00 PM at The Cube, located at 901 Market Street. Highlights include a traditional Lion Dance parade led by The Philadelphia Suns, complete with live drumming and music. Attendees can also participate in children’s craft activities, receive complimentary Red Envelopes with special offers from Wetzel’s Pretzels (while supplies last), and explore a host of exclusive digital Red Envelopes with promotional deals from retailers.

During the celebration, the Fashion District will be transformed with stunning Lunar New Year decorations, including red and gold lanterns and cherry blossom-inspired installations throughout the mall. Visitors can marvel at highlights like the magnificent overhead dragon in vivid red, gold, and yellow near The Cube and themed photo stations, including a special addition to the mall’s LOVE sculpture at 10th Street.

From February 1st through February 16th, shoppers can scan QR codes scattered throughout the mall for exclusive offers from participating retailers, such as Aeropostale, Cinnabon, Claire’s, Columbia Factory Store, Sephora, Levi’s Outlet Store, Kate Spade New York, and many more.

All Lunar New Year events and activities are free of charge and open to the public during the mall’s regular hours, which are Monday to Wednesday (11:00 AM – 7:00 PM), Thursday to Saturday (10:00 AM – 8:00 PM), and Sunday (Noon – 6:00 PM).
