PHILADELPHIA, PA — This summer, East Passyunk Avenue Business Improvement District (EPABID) introduces Passyunk Passeggiata, a new tradition inspired by the enchanting evening strolls of Italian towns. From July 11 to August 31, every Thursday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, over 40 locations along East Passyunk Avenue will host this festive event.
Passyunk Passeggiata invites Philadelphians to sip, savor, shop, and stroll through one of the city’s most beloved neighborhoods. The event features live music, seasonal menu specials, extended shopping hours, and some of the best happy hour deals in the city. Nearly two dozen restaurants, bars, and breweries will offer exclusive food and drink specials, including $5 beers, $6 wines, $7 cocktails, and $7 small bites.
More than 20 boutiques and retail shops will participate, providing sidewalk sales, sip-and-shop events, in-store promotions, special giveaways, and extended hours until at least 7:00 pm. Even four-legged friends are welcome, with pup cups available at various spots. The event is free to attend, with food, drink, and shopping available on a pay-as-you-go basis.
“We are excited to announce the launch of Passyunk Passeggiata, an Italian-style promenade this summer on East Passyunk Avenue,” said EPABID Board President Michelle Gillen-Doobrajh, who also owns Tildie’s Toy Box. “Passeggiata is a nod to the Italian heritage of our neighborhood and is a fitting way to explore the many and varied businesses along East Passyunk Avenue. We invite everyone from all over the Philadelphia region to come out and sip, shop and stroll with us at over 40+ restaurants, bars, salons, retail shops, and more! Passyunk Passeggiata is a great way to bring our community together and support our diverse mix of independent businesses.”
The Passyunk Passeggiata is made possible with support from Samuels Seafood Company. For a list of participants, menus, and sales, visit the EPABID website and follow their social media updates at @eastpassyunk.
