PHILADELPHIA, PAEnviri Corporation (NYSE: NVRI) has released its 2023 Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Report, marking its fifth annual publication. The report outlines the company’s ambitious goals and impact metrics across four key focus areas, emphasizing Enviri’s commitment to transforming waste management into sustainable solutions.

Enviri’s Chairman and CEO, Nick Grasberger, shared his enthusiasm about the company’s progress. “I’m pleased to share our 2023 ESG Report, showcasing the goals and progress of our comprehensive sustainability strategy to develop and deliver environmental solutions,” he stated. The report reveals that Enviri’s divisions managed to recycle or reuse 19 million tons of waste. Harsco Environmental, a subsidiary, processed 8.7 million tons of steel slag, recycling or reusing 93% of it. Meanwhile, Clean Earth, another division, achieved a 91% recycling or reuse rate for 3.9 million tons of waste materials.

The ESG Report is structured around four focus areas that define Enviri’s vision and strategy for creating value and positive outcomes for stakeholders:

Innovative Solutions: Enviri aims to help customers tackle their most pressing sustainability challenges. The company derives over 90% of its annual revenue from environmental solutions and is committed to expanding its portfolio. Enviri also sets a goal to recycle or repurpose more than 75% of the waste and co-product material it processes each year.

Thriving Environment: The company is working to reduce its environmental footprint. Enviri plans to improve its five-year environmental compliance record and cut the energy and carbon intensity of its operations by 15% by 2025. Additionally, it aims to prevent more than 25 million tons of carbon emissions through its recycling and repurposing solutions from 2019 to 2025.

Safe Workplaces: Ensuring employee safety is a top priority. Enviri targets a Total Recordable Incident Rate of less than 1.0 in 2023 and seeks continuous improvement in its five-year safety record.
