PHILADELPHIA, PA — ENSER Corporation marked the first anniversary of the Arnone Foundation Scholarship by honoring its inaugural recipient. The scholarship supports Mechanical Engineering students who have faced significant challenges, such as bereavement, illness, or financial hardship.

Marco Arnone, President of ENSER Corporation, established the scholarship in memory of his late brother Robert Arnone, a former president at ENSER. Despite facing multiple difficulties, Robert pursued his passion for Mechanical Engineering. Marco sees the scholarship as a tribute to his brother’s resilience and a means to support students facing similar struggles.

The Arnone family has deep ties to Temple University. Mario Arnone, who graduated with a BSME in 1961, was the first of several family members to attend the university. His sons Robert and Marco followed suit, graduating in 1984 and 1988, respectively. In 2021, Mario’s grandson Nicholas continued the family tradition.

Jose Ortiz Ayllon, a senior majoring in Mechanical Engineering at Temple University, is the scholarship’s first recipient. Mr. Ayllon has faced numerous obstacles, including a lengthy daily commute and working year-round to fund his education. Despite these challenges, he remains dedicated to his studies and future career.

The recent Fall Scholarship Celebration at Temple University College of Engineering highlighted the importance of such initiatives. The event brought together student scholars, donors, and distinguished guests, including retired Professor Dr. Cohen and alumnus Mr. Dan Cassidy.

As the Arnone Foundation Scholarship marks its first anniversary, ENSER Corporation reaffirmed its commitment to fostering education and supporting the next generation of engineers.
