READING, PA — EnerSys (NYSE: ENS) has released its 2023 Sustainability Report, detailing significant advancements in environmental, social, and governance (ESG) performance. The report highlights EnerSys’s commitment to sustainability and its proactive alignment with new regulatory frameworks, including the European Sustainability Reporting Standards.

Key achievements from the 2023 report include:

  • A 4.2% reduction in Scope 1 emissions since 2022, and a 25% decrease since 2019.
  • Energy intensity reduced by 15% since 2020.
  • Water usage intensity down by 6% since 2020, with a 10% absolute reduction between 2022 and 2023.
  • Publication of 2023 Scope 3 emissions data.
  • An appendix aligned with the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive.
