OAKS, PA — The Philadelphia Sports Collectors Show, popularly known as “The Philly Show,” has announced that global online marketplace eBay will be their title sponsor. The sponsorship will commence with this year’s final show and extend through 2024.
The Philly Show, a staple in the culture of sports collectibles for over four decades, is joining forces with Marino & Co. to create enriching experiences for collectors and cultivate stronger bonds across The Hobby. The collaboration aims to support a robust community of enthusiastic collectors and hobbyists, while building new relationships among show dealers, sponsors, and the collecting community. The ultimate objective is to expand the industry and anticipate what the future holds.
Joe Drelich, President of East Coast Sports Marketing, parent company to The Philly Show, expressed his excitement at the new partnership. “eBay is a trusted marketplace, with a deep commitment to serving sports fans and collectors, sellers and buyers,” said Drelich. He added, “With their full suite of collectors tools and services, including the eBay vault and Authenticity Guarantee, we’re excited to collaborate and bring great things to the sports collecting community!”
Since the 1970s, The Philly Show has drawn generations of sports enthusiasts and collectors. The December show, the last of three planned for 2023, is set to showcase over 100,000 square feet of trading cards, collectibles, memorabilia and more. The inventory spans from vintage to modern, sport to non-sport, including autographed memorabilia, Funko Pop! Figures and Pokémon collectibles. Additional attractions include the fan-favorite Philly Show Fun Zone, the Kids Trading Zone, and the popular Philly Show Trade Night, also sponsored by eBay.
The signing guest line-up and schedule for the upcoming show can be found on The Philly Show website. With eBay stepping in as title sponsor, the future of The Philly Show, and the sports collectibles industry in Pennsylvania at large, looks promising.
