Dorman Products Unveils 400 New Vehicle Parts, Boosting Aftermarket Powertrain Repair Solutions

Dorman Products

COLMAR, PA — Dorman Products, Inc. (NASDAQ: DORM) has announced the release of 400 new motor vehicle parts this month. This launch represents millions of fresh sales opportunities for automotive parts distributors, retailers, and repair shops while consolidating Dorman’s position as a premier aftermarket provider of comprehensive powertrain repair solutions.

Among the new releases is an innovative Dorman® OE FIX™ exhaust manifold clamp repair kit, designed for around 3 million aging Ford and Lincoln vehicles. Traditionally, repairs to a broken exhaust manifold fastener on these cars require considerable labor, potentially up to removing the cylinder head. The Dorman kit components offer a time and labor-saving alternative, bypassing existing hardware even if it is broken, and typically requiring no special tools.

In addition, Dorman is launching a new OE FIX engine heater hose assembly, supplementing an extensive catalog of complex automotive hose assemblies. Original equipment heater hose assemblies on more than 400,000 select Ford Fusion sedans are known to fail due to cracks in the plastic connectors. Dorman’s OE FIX replacement features upgraded aluminum connectors to help prevent similar failures in the future.

Further bolstering its portfolio, Dorman is introducing hundreds of new direct replacement parts and assemblies. These are designed to match or exceed the performance of original equipment offerings. Highlights from the December 2023 releases include:

  • Two throttle body connectors offering a combined 20 million repair opportunities on certain GM and Ford vehicles.
  • Three new turbocharger components, including a new intercooler designed to match the fit and function of the original equipment unit on 1.75 million GMC and Chevrolet vehicles, adding to Dorman’s already extensive line of turbo replacement and repair solutions.
  • A convenient wheel hub and bearing assembly repair kit, covering 1 million select late model Ram 2500 and 3500 series trucks, featuring components engineered to match the fit and performance of the factory assembly components.

These represent just a fraction of Dorman’s new product releases this month, which include replacement components and assemblies for passenger and commercial vehicles of various types and powertrains. This significant expansion reaffirms Dorman’s commitment to providing comprehensive, innovative, and high-quality aftermarket powertrain repair solutions.
