PHILADELPHIA, PA — For 15 days this March, Philadelphia’s vibrant arts community will unite for March for Art, the newly rebranded annual fundraiser by InLiquid. From March 9 to 22, 2025, the organization will host a series of dynamic events at its location on 1400 North American Street, celebrating art, culture, and community resilience.

Previously known as The Benefit, March for Art builds on a 25-year tradition of showcasing the talents of local artists while raising funds to support their work and sustain InLiquid’s non-profit mission. This year’s fundraiser will feature over 300 curated works of fine art up for auction, with proceeds shared directly with the participating artists—an approach that underscores the event’s commitment to supporting the creative community.

“March for Art is truly a celebration of the incredible talent and diversity of Philadelphia’s arts scene,” said Rachel Zimmerman, Executive Director and Founder of InLiquid. “We welcome everyone—from seasoned collectors to first-time buyers—to connect with the artists and support their work. This event is about sustaining Philadelphia’s dynamic creative ecosystem.”

A Unique Blend of Art, Experience, and Community

Beyond its auction, March for Art promises immersive and interactive experiences for visitors. Jefferson University’s industrial design department will transform a dedicated exhibit room into an immersive space using cutting-edge projection mapping technology, adding a layer of visual wonder to the event.

The schedule includes opportunities for all to engage with the arts, making it accessible to diverse audiences. Highlights include the following events:

  • March for Art: UNITE (Thursday, March 13, 4–6 PM): The arts sector comes together for a peaceful four-block march to celebrate Philadelphia’s rich cultural history, followed by open galleries in Olde Kensington.
  • March for Art: DESIGN (Saturday, March 15, 12–5 PM): A trunk show featuring local designers such as Roberta Gruber and John Wind Jewelry, with free admission for the public.
  • March for Art: EAT (Thursday, March 20, 6–9 PM): A gastronomic experience featuring Chef Ange Branca of Kampar and zero-proof cocktails from local favorites.
  • March for Art: BASH (Saturday, March 22, 6–10 PM): The grand finale of the event, offering a final chance to bid on auction items, meet the artists, and celebrate Philadelphia’s creative spirit.

Supporting Artists and Expanding Community Impact

One of March for Art’s defining features is its artist-first approach. By splitting auction proceeds with participating creators, the fundraiser not only benefits the non-profit’s mission but also directly invests in the livelihoods of local artists. This initiative reflects a broader commitment to building a sustainable and thriving arts community in Philadelphia.

Looking ahead, events like March for Art play a crucial role in fostering connections between artists, patrons, and the public. With 25 years of tradition and a bold new vision, this reimagined fundraiser is poised to remain a centerpiece of Philadelphia’s cultural calendar, inspiring creativity and collaboration for years to come.
