PHILADELPHIA, PA — As winter descends upon the city, Dilworth Park is transforming into a hub of frosty fun and festive attractions. Nestled right next to Philadelphia’s City Hall, the park is hosting an array of free events and cool attractions that will keep Philadelphians entertained throughout the chilliest months of the year.
The star of the show is the Rothman Orthopaedics Ice Rink, a popular outdoor skating rink where visitors can lace up their skates and glide across the ice under twinkling lights. The rink, which runs through February 25, 2024, requires tickets for entry.
Adjacent to the rink is the Rothman Orthopaedics Cabin, where guests can warm up and refuel. This chalet-style cabin offers seasonal dishes, cocktails, beer, and more in a cozy setting. Visitors can enjoy a front-row view of the ice skaters from the terrace while savoring snacks by the fire pits. Food and drinks are pay-as-you-go, and the cabin will be open through February 25, 2024.
Adding a touch of greenery to the winter landscape, the Wintergarden is an open-air wonderland decked out with holiday lights, reindeer topiaries, rustic woodland décor, and a Chaddsford Winery kiosk selling warm mulled wine. The Wintergarden will remain open through March 17, 2024.
For those looking to support local businesses, the Made in Philadelphia Holiday Market is a must-visit. With more than 40 small businesses offering handmade crafts, jewelry, artwork, treats, and much more, it’s the perfect place to find unique holiday gifts. The market will be available through January 1, 2024.
Dilworth Park, located at 1 S. 15th Street, is gearing up to become the city’s winter wonderland. With its broad range of attractions and events, it offers something for everyone this winter season. Bundle up, grab a mug of mulled wine, and join in the merriment at Dilworth Park!
