MEDIA, PA — A spirit of generosity and unity is set to sweep Delaware County with the launch of Delco Gives Day. The Foundation for Delaware County announced this exciting initiative at a public Council Meeting on January 17, aiming to bring residents, businesses, and organizations together in support of the region’s nonprofit sector.

Scheduled for May 8-9, 2024, Delco Gives Day represents a county-wide celebration of collective goodwill and shared purpose. It presents a unique opportunity for local residents to show their support for the nonprofits that tirelessly serve the community and make a tangible difference in the lives of their neighbors.

Key highlights of Delco Gives Day include:

  • Community Celebrations: The day will feature celebrations across the county, starting with Dining Under the Stars and ending with a grand closing celebration at Rose Tree Park. A livestream event from Union Stadium on May 9 will connect participants from every corner of the community.

The reception for Delco Gives Day has been overwhelmingly positive, reflecting the strong sense of generosity and pride within Delaware County. High-profile sponsors such as Boeing, Brinker Simpson, Comcast, Franklin Mint Federal Credit Union, Haverford Trust, and the Hamilton Family Trust have pledged their support, contributing to the event’s bonus funding.
