Delaware State Police Investigate Armed Robbery at Claymont Steak Shop

WILMINGTON, DE — In a recent incident that has shaken the local community, Delaware State Police responded to an armed robbery at the Claymont Steak Shop, located at 2720 Concord Pike in Wilmington, on Friday, November 3, 2023, at approximately 1:07 p.m.

The preliminary investigation revealed that two black males approached a victim who was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the establishment. Displaying handguns, the suspects demanded money from the victim. Post the confrontation, the victim handed over an undisclosed amount of money to the suspects, who then fled the area in a white vehicle.

Despite a thorough search of the area by the responding troopers, the suspects were not located. There were no reported injuries following the incident. The suspects are described as black males wearing dark clothing. As of now, surveillance video and images have not yet been made available.

Detectives are currently investigating whether the suspects may have followed the victim after he made a cash withdrawal from a local bank.

The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Robbery Unit has taken over the investigation of this incident. Detective D.
