NEWARK, DE — The Delaware State Police are currently conducting an investigation into an alleged robbery that took place at the Christiana Mall in Newark on Friday night.
According to authorities, troopers were notified of the incident on December 23, 2023, which occurred in the food court of the Christiana Mall located at 100 Christiana Mall, Newark. The alleged robbery occurred on December 22, 2023, at approximately 9:12 p.m. It is reported that a teenage victim was exiting the mall through the food court when they were approached by two unknown suspects. The suspects allegedly assaulted the victim by punching and kicking them before stealing a shopping bag the victim was carrying. The suspects then fled the scene in an unknown direction.
The suspects involved in the alleged robbery have been described as teenagers. At this time, surveillance footage and images related to the incident have not yet been made available.
The Delaware State Police Troop 2 Criminal Investigations Unit is actively investigating the matter.
