PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that repair work on a bridge along southbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia is set to take place on Saturday, November 18. The planned maintenance is expected to cause significant traffic disruptions.
Between the hours of 8:00 AM and 3:00 PM, the left two lanes on southbound I-95 between the Betsy Ross Bridge/Aramingo Avenue and the Allegheny Avenue interchanges will be closed. This move is part of PennDOT’s ongoing effort to ensure the safety and longevity of the city’s infrastructure.
Motorists are advised to anticipate delays and consider alternative routes or allow extra time for travel through the area. With traffic backups expected, residents and commuters should plan their journeys accordingly.
This schedule is weather-dependent and may be subject to change if conditions are not suitable for the planned repair work. PennDOT has reassured the public that all efforts are being made to minimize disruption and complete the work as quickly and efficiently as possible.
