NEWARK, DE — CSols Inc., a leading provider of laboratory informatics consultancy, has announced that one of its expert consultants, Aimee Zwart, will present a short course at the 2024 Pittcon conference. The event, which is a key gathering for laboratory professionals, will take place in San Diego, California from February 24-28.
For over 15 years, CSols consultants have been educating lab, IT, and business personnel through their Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) and Electronic Laboratory Notebook (ELN) short courses. These courses have consistently been attendee favorites, equipping participants with the knowledge and confidence to handle lab informatics projects effectively.
The upcoming course, titled “Enhancing your Lab Informatics Systems (LIMS/ELN) Through Lean Lab Principles,” will be held on Tuesday, February 27, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. The course aims to introduce attendees to the concept of applying lean principles to lab informatics systems to improve performance, reduce paperwork, ease compliance, and cut operating costs without requiring significant investment in new tools.
Lean techniques, often used by manufacturers to enhance quality, productivity, and cycle times, can be similarly beneficial when applied to Quality Control (QC) labs. Zwart’s course will offer insights into how to identify, prioritize, and realize lean opportunities within the lab setting.
“This short course is a perennial favorite of Pittcon attendees,” said Zwart, a veteran instructor of Pittcon short courses. “Every year, I look forward to learning about the greatest lean lab challenges from the participants – it seems to change every time!”
Participants interested in the course are encouraged to register before January 18th to avail of a 30% discount on registration fees and a 20% reduction on short course pricing. Attendees will also have the opportunity to receive skill-building training and personal attention to their questions about laboratory informatics.
