DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced today that crack sealing operations are scheduled on several highways in Delaware County, under a project applying crack sealing on state highways in Delaware and Philadelphia counties.
Motorists are advised of the following overnight travel restrictions from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM the following morning:
- Sunday, November 5, through Wednesday, November 8, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Fairview Road between U.S. 13 (Chester Pike) and Route 320 (South Chester Road) in Swarthmore Borough and Ridley Township;
- Monday, November 6, through Thursday, November 9, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Laughead Road/Township Line Road/Keystone Road between Route 452 (Market Street) and Bethel Road in Trainer Borough, City of Chester, Upper Chichester and Lower Chichester townships;
- Monday, November 6, through Thursday, November 9, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Manchester Road/Rose Valley Road/Yale Road between Baltimore Pike and Chester Road in Media and Rose Valley Boroughs and Upper Providence and Nether Providence townships; and
- Tuesday, November 7, through Friday, November 10, a moving lane closure is scheduled on Bortondale Road/Orange Street between S. Old Middletown Road and Kirk Lane in Media Borough and Upper Providence and Middletown townships.
Drivers are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work areas because backups and delays may occur. All scheduled activities are weather dependent.
Scodeller Construction, Inc. of Wixom, MI, is the general contractor on this $3.3 million project, which is financed with 100 percent state funds.
