LOWER POTTSGROVE TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced upcoming roadway construction on U.S. 422 as part of an $83.6 million improvement project in Montgomery County. The reconstruction effort focuses on 2.1 miles of the expressway and includes bridge replacements between the Sanatoga Interchange and Porter Road.
Lane closures are scheduled as follows:
- Westbound U.S. 422 between Evergreen Road (Sanatoga Interchange) and Armand Hammer Boulevard will be reduced to one lane from Monday, April 14, through Thursday, April 17, between 6:00 AM and 2:00 PM.
- Eastbound U.S. 422 between Armand Hammer Boulevard and Evergreen Road will experience lane closures from Monday, April 14, through Thursday, April 17, between 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM.
Motorists traveling through these areas should anticipate delays and are advised to allow extra travel time. PennDOT has also noted that the schedule is weather dependent and subject to adjustments if needed.
