PHILADELPHIA, PA — Comcast Corporation (Nasdaq: CMCSA) has appointed Jon Gieselman as Chief Growth Officer for its Connectivity & Platforms segment, overseeing residential businesses that serve more than 64 million homes and businesses across the U.S. Gieselman will focus on driving growth through product development, Xfinity brand strategy, and bolstering customer acquisition, retention, and engagement.
Reporting to Steve Croney, Chief Operating Officer of Comcast’s Connectivity & Platforms division, Gieselman begins his role on April 28th. Known for his ability to deliver revenue growth, he brings extensive experience from leadership roles at major companies, including Expedia Group, Apple, and DIRECTV.
“Jon is a bold and transformational leader who will bring fresh thinking to our product and growth strategy,” said Croney. “He has decades of experience managing world-class brands in highly competitive markets and is the perfect complement to our team.”
Gieselman most recently served as President of Expedia Brands, where he unified global consumer-facing businesses and spearheaded digital transformation initiatives. At Apple, he drove subscriber growth across services like Apple Music, TV+, and News+. He also spent a decade at DIRECTV, contributing to its market expansion.
Inducted into the Advertising Hall of Achievement in 2009 and a recipient of 28 Cannes Lions, Gieselman brings both creative and analytical expertise to Comcast.
