WILMINGTON, DE — The Wilmington Police Department is keeping the conversation brewing with its ongoing ‘Coffee with a Cop’ series. The next event is set to take place at Faire Café, located at 216 West 9th Street, on Wednesday, February 7, from 9 to 11 a.m.

This monthly event offers an inviting platform for community members to engage with local police officers over a cup of coffee. Patrons visiting Faire Café for their morning caffeine fix and bakery treats are encouraged to join the officers at their table, engaging in meaningful conversations, picking up valuable public safety information, and even scoring some exciting giveaways.

The ‘Coffee with a Cop’ series is not just about enjoying a hot brew. It’s about creating a space where community members can ask questions, voice concerns, and discuss ideas directly with the officers who serve their city. It’s about fostering understanding, building relationships, and promoting a sense of community.

This initiative was born out of National Coffee with a Cop Day, observed in October 2022, which the department has since transformed into a monthly series throughout 2023 and 2024. Each month, the Wilmington Police Department visits different coffee shops across the city, providing an opportunity for residents to interact with their local law enforcement officers in a relaxed and informal setting.

Mark your calendars, Wilmington residents! Don’t miss this chance to enjoy your morning coffee with a side of community connection. Whether you have a burning question or simply want to say hello, the Wilmington Police Department looks forward to meeting you at Faire Café.
