PHILADELPHIA, PA — CLEU Diagnostics has announced the appointment of Nigel Lindner, Ph.D., as Chief Innovation Officer. With over 30 years of expertise in diagnostic innovation, including leadership roles at Alere, Swiss Precision Diagnostics, and LumiraDx, Dr. Lindner will guide CLEU’s efforts to revolutionize point-of-care diagnostic testing.
A centerpiece of this vision is the LabSimple platform, a compact and versatile solution designed to deliver lab-quality testing anywhere. The system combines advanced technologies such as microfluidics, flow cytometry, and single photon counting, allowing a range of diagnostic tests to be performed on low-cost, stackable modules the size of a smartphone. Disposable cartridges enable cost-effective scalability, making LabSimple accessible for broad clinical and remote applications.
The initial release, planned for late 2026, will include a Respiratory Viral Panel, Complete Blood Count, Basic Metabolic Panel, and Urinalysis. Over time, LabSimple is expected to support most routine and critical lab tests, offering a practical and affordable alternative to traditional central laboratories, particularly in underserved areas.
CLEU Diagnostics’ innovative approach aims to simplify healthcare testing, providing effective, on-demand diagnostics that could transform the way lab services are delivered worldwide.
