PHILADELPHIA, PA — Yards Brewing Company is bringing the holiday spirit to Philadelphia this December with two festive events and the release of their seasonal Winter Lager, Long Jawns. With something for everyone, these celebrations promise fun for families, craft beer lovers, and even four-legged friends.
The holiday festivities kick off on Saturday, December 7th, with Santa Paws, a dog-friendly event on Yards’ outdoor patio at their Northern Liberties taproom, located at 500 Spring Garden Street. From 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., attendees can bring their pets for photos with Santa, portrayed by none other than Yards Founder Tom Kehoe. The event is free, but enthusiasts are encouraged to register in advance to secure a spot for the memorable photo opportunity.
On Thursday, December 14th, Yards will host A Very Cozy Christmas, a family-friendly, all-day event at the taproom. From 12 p.m. to 2 p.m., children can meet a real-life Santa, engage in themed coloring activities, or participate in ornament decorating. Guests are encouraged to wear their comfiest pajamas; those who do will receive a $1 discount on pints of Yards’ classic Philadelphia Pale Ale. Later in the day, starting at 3 p.m., the taproom will transform into a Holiday Market featuring dozens of local vendors, making it a great spot for unique, last-minute holiday shopping.
Adding to the holiday cheer is the release of Yards’ beloved seasonal brew, Long Jawns. This smooth Winter Lager, clocking in at 6.0% ABV, pairs malty richness with seasonal warmth, making it perfect for the colder months. It is available in 6-packs ($11.99) and 24-packs ($38.99) of 12oz bottles, as well as 12-packs ($22.99) and 24-packs ($38.99) of 12oz cans. Long Jawns can also be enjoyed on draft or to-go from the taproom and is available at local bottle shops.
Yards Brewing Company invites Philadelphians to come together and celebrate the season with these exciting events and their signature winter brew. Whether you’re there for holiday fun, quality craft beer, or just a cozy day out, Yards promises a memorable way to enjoy the festive season.
