ELKTON, MD — The Cecil Leadership Institute (CLI) is inviting aspiring leaders to apply for its Class of 2025, with applications open until January 21, 2025. This well-established program, co-sponsored by Cecil College and the Cecil County Office of Economic Development, has been a pivotal platform for emerging leaders over its 25-year history, boasting over 525 graduates.

Starting in February, the 15-week program offers participants a robust learning experience through more than 75 hours of instruction. Sessions occur every Wednesday until May at Elkton Station and various local businesses and organizations across Cecil County. The curriculum includes over 30 distinct sessions, providing a comprehensive exploration of leadership practices.

Participants will benefit from presentations by key decision-makers who provide insights into the workings of their organizations. These sessions often include tours and discussions about leadership styles, company culture, and their impacts on the community. Additionally, a core curriculum of lectures, discussions, and exercises will enhance leadership skills and promote critical thinking.

One of the distinctive aspects of CLI is its emphasis on community engagement. Participants will undertake a service project, developing action plans to support local groups or organizations, thereby fostering a positive community impact.

By joining CLI, participants will not only enhance their leadership abilities but also expand their professional networks and gain exposure to innovative leaders throughout Cecil County. The program promises to be an enriching experience for those looking to make a substantial impact in their community.

For more information or to apply, contact CLI liaison Laurie Raphael at lraphael@cecil.edu, call (443) 907-1376, or visit cecil.edu/cli.
