BENSALEM TWP, PA — Residents of Bensalem Township in Bucks County should brace themselves for significant traffic disruptions as the Bucks County Water and Sewer Authority undertakes utility construction on Gibson Road.

Starting Monday, March 4, and continuing through Friday, March 15, Gibson Road will be closed and detoured on weekdays between Bensalem Boulevard and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road). The closure will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM each day.

During these hours, motorists will be directed to use the alternate routes of Bensalem Boulevard and Route 513 (Hulmeville Road). Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone, but motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the area due to expected backups and delays.

As with all construction projects, the work is weather dependent, and schedules could shift if conditions are unfavorable.

These necessary upgrades, performed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit, aim to improve the county’s water and sewer systems. While this may cause temporary inconveniences to residents and commuters.
