PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that bridge inspections will take place next week on Interstate 76 (Schuylkill Expressway) and Interstate 476 in Philadelphia, Montgomery, and Delaware counties. The inspections will necessitate intermittent lane closures at several locations.
Inspection Schedule
- Monday, December 9: From 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., a right lane closure will be in effect on the southbound I-476 ramp to westbound I-76 in West Conshohocken Borough, Montgomery County.
- Tuesday, December 10:
- From 9 a.m. to 10 a.m., the right lane will be closed on eastbound I-76 between the I-676 and South Street interchanges in Philadelphia.
- From 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., a right lane closure is scheduled on westbound I-76 between the 30th Street and I-676 interchanges in Philadelphia.
- From 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., a moving left lane closure will occur on southbound I-476 between the Norristown and U.S. 30/Villanova interchanges in Montgomery and Delaware counties.
- Thursday, December 12: From 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., a moving lane closure is planned on westbound I-76 between the U.S. 202/U.S. 422 and PA Turnpike interchanges in Upper Merion Township, Montgomery County.
Motorists are advised to anticipate slowdowns in these areas and allow additional travel time. All inspection activities are contingent upon favorable weather conditions.
