PHILADELPHIA, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that a bridge inspection, which is part of its ongoing safety and infrastructure maintenance program, will take place on northbound Interstate 95 in Philadelphia next week.
According to the announcement, a right lane closure is scheduled on northbound I-95 between the Interstate 676 (Vine Street Expressway) and the Girard Avenue interchanges. The inspection will occur on Thursday, December 28, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM.
Drivers are advised by PennDOT to allow for extra travel time when passing through the work zone as there is potential for slowdowns to occur due to the lane closure.
Like all PennDOT operations, the scheduled inspection is subject to weather conditions, suggesting that inclement weather could potentially alter the timing of the inspection.
