Bridge Inspection to Cause Lane Restrictions on Route 324 Next Week

Lane closures

LANCASTER COUNTY, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) announced that the Route 324 (New Danville Pike) Bridge over the Conestoga River will undergo inspection next week.

Starting Monday, July 1, weather permitting, daytime lane restrictions will be in place from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Traffic will be limited to one direction at a time. The inspection will begin with the southbound lane, moving from Lancaster Township to Pequea Township, before switching to the northbound lane.

During this period, the right lane and shoulder will be closed. Motorists should allow extra travel time as traffic backups and delays are expected. This necessary inspection aims to ensure the bridge’s structural integrity and public safety.
