Bridge Construction to Close Kumry Road in Milford Township

MILFORD TOWNSHIP, PA — The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has announced temporary road closures on Kumry Road in Milford Township, Bucks County, to accommodate bridge construction. The work is set to begin Monday, January 6, and will continue through Friday, January 10.

Kumry Road will be closed and detoured between Rosenberger Road and Walnut Lane during the following hours: 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM and 7:00 PM to 5:00 AM the next morning. Passenger vehicles will be redirected to use Allentown Road, Route 663 (John Fries Highway), and Krammes Road. Large trucks will follow a detour utilizing Main Street, Broad Street, Tollgate Road, Route 309 (West End Boulevard), and Route 663. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Motorists are advised to anticipate travel delays and allocate additional time when navigating near the area. All scheduled work is dependent on favorable weather conditions. Safety precautions, including detour signage, will be in place to assist drivers during the closure.
