Boomi World 2024: Transforming Business Connectivity and Data Management for the AI Economy

Boomi

CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — In a recent Boomi World conference, Boomi™, a global leader in integration and automation, announced its strategic future plans, acquisitions, and product enhancements. This worldwide conglomerate serves over 20,000 customers globally with the assistance of an expansive network of 800 partners. Their focus is sharply aimed at the future of integration, automation, API and data management—all of which are growing in criticality in the age of Artificial Intelligence.

In his keynote address, Boomi CEO, Steve Lucas, illuminated the transformational influence of integration platform as a service (iPaaS). This technology significantly bolsters business operations by accelerating the connection between people, systems, and applications, enhancing business relationships and facilitating swift, informed decision-making through real-time data access.

Lucas identified digital fragmentation—the inadvertent creation of digital silos during the process of digital shifts—as the chief culprit behind connectivity challenges plaguing today’s organizations. This fragmentation impedes the inherent power of AI, which thrives on secure, reliable, and current data.

Lucas emphasized the urgent need for an all-inclusive, enterprise-scale platform that bridges APIs, applications, data, and AI models. He believes this is key to accelerating digital transformation.

To tackle these issues, Boomi unveiled a series of announcements at Boomi World 2024:

  1. Next-Generation API Management: Companies today suffer from an overabundance of API gateways, resulting in an API sprawl. This lack of visibility on API gateways leads to governance and security issues, as well as inefficiencies in managing these assets. To help companies overcome these challenges, Boomi announced the acquisition of APIIDA’s federated API management business and Cloud Software Group’s API management assets.
  2. Boomi AI Agent Framework: Boomi introduced the AI agent framework designed to enable users to run AI agents to address integration and automation requirements. Additionally, the framework supports the integration of third-party AI agents, providing customers with customizable solutions to unique business challenges.
  3. Boomi FinTalk powered by Vianai: In an OEM agreement with Vianai Systems, a leading provider of AI solutions for finance, Boomi announced a third-party AI agent. This agent enables users to access financial data through natural language queries, thereby facilitating real-time financial data analysis and insights.
  4. Boomi DataHub: Boomi announced Boomi DataHub, a trusted data access layer that provides high velocity, quality data for operational, analytical, and AI workloads. This solution offers master data management, integration pipelines and a framework for future data management capabilities.
