LANSDALE, PA — Black Heart Tattoo & Gallery will host an evocative new exhibition by acclaimed Philadelphia-based interdisciplinary artist Bell Luna Powers. The opening event is set for Friday, March 7, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at 305 W. Main Street in Lansdale, PA. The exhibit will remain on view until March 28, offering visitors a unique opportunity to engage with Powers’ innovative artistry.

Known for blending film photography, poetry, and alternative processes, Powers explores themes of memory, impermanence, and identity, often through the lens of the queer experience. Their work merges archival imagery with the fleeting nature of human memory, presenting narratives that are deeply personal yet universally relatable.

“This is not just about art hanging on a wall,” said Natalie Venezia, co-owner of Black Heart Tattoo & Gallery. “It’s an exploration into how we define memory and identity through ephemeral moments.”

The exhibition furthers Black Heart’s commitment to showcasing pioneering and diverse artists. The gallery, which integrates tattoo artistry with visual exhibitions, provides a platform for creators who challenge traditional perspectives.

“Our aim has always been more than merely displaying art; it’s about curating experiences that challenge perceptions,” Venezia added. “Bell Luna Powers captures everyday life’s fleeting softness—moments often neglected but profoundly human.”

Powers, originally from Northern New Jersey, holds a BFA in Photography with a minor in Art History from Temple University’s Tyler School of Art and Architecture. Their innovative techniques transform quiet, overlooked moments into deeply introspective works that provoke thought and emotion.

“This exhibition invites patrons not merely to observe but to engage; it’s about being present within these captured instants,” Venezia emphasized. “What Bell offers goes beyond visual aesthetics; it’s introspection made tangible.”

By featuring artists who merge mediums and defy conventions, the gallery continues to establish itself as a hub for bold and innovative expression. With its blend of thought-provoking works and an inclusive ethos, the gallery remains a cultural mainstay for both local and regional audiences.
