Benecon Appoints Dan Lebish to Board of Directors

Business News

LANCASTER, PA — Benecon has announced the appointment of Dan Lebish to its Board of Directors, bringing more than 38 years of leadership expertise in the healthcare and insurance industries to the company.

Lebish, who most recently served as Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Aflac U.S., oversaw U.S. operations, managed profitability for group insurance products, and expanded the company’s broker sales channel. His prior experience includes 16 years at Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield, where he held senior leadership roles across various divisions.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Dan to our Board,” said Matt Kirk, President and CEO of Benecon. “His expertise in operations, strategic partnerships, M&A, and product development will bring valuable insight as we continue to scale. Dan’s background in hospital administration and health plan delivery also aligns closely with our mission to deliver smarter, self-funded healthcare solutions.”

Lebish’s appointment takes place as Benecon continues its rapid growth, fueled by investment partnerships with TA Associates in 2020 and Neuberger Berman in 2024. Benecon specializes in developing self-funded medical benefit programs designed to help businesses reduce healthcare costs while maintaining flexibility through group purchasing power.

“Dan brings a strong track record of scaling organizations and driving results, while staying grounded in the culture that has made them successful,” said Michael Berk, Managing Director at TA Associates. “With his visionary leadership and extensive industry experience, Dan will be a tremendous asset to Benecon’s Board as we continue to build on our strong momentum and capitalize on the opportunities ahead.”

Lebish’s expertise in shaping broker sales channels and managing group insurance products is key to supporting Benecon’s advisor-centric approach. The company aims to capitalize on trends such as demand for cost control and more tailored plan designs, particularly within the underserved small and mid-sized business segments.
