HATFIELD TWP, PA — The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced that work on the Orvilla Road bridge over the West Branch of Neshaminy Creek in Hatfield Township, Montgomery County, will commence with barrier installation scheduled over multiple days.
From Thursday, January 30, through Monday, February 3, construction will prompt weekday lane closures and periodic traffic stoppages on Orvilla Road between Leas Way and Maple Avenue. The closures will occur between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. each day. Motorists traveling through the area are advised to plan for delays and allow additional time due to anticipated traffic backups.
The Orvilla Road bridge, built in 1927, spans 82 feet in length and 27.5 feet in width. It is a significant thoroughfare in the area, accommodating approximately 8,535 vehicles daily. The work marks a step forward in maintaining the safety and functionality of this vital bridge.
