HORSHAM, PA — The crack of a bat against a ball, the cheer of parents from the stands, and the joyous shouts of children playing America’s pastime will soon echo across newly revamped fields in Dallas, Philadelphia, and San Diego. Ball Park® Buns, the Official Hamburger and Hot Dog Bun of Little League Baseball and Softball, announced the return of its Ball Park of Dreams initiative for a fourth consecutive year. The program aims to refurbish Little League® fields across the United States that need a helping hand.
The Ball Park of Dreams initiative serves as an integral component of Ball Park Buns’ multi-year partnership with Little League Baseball and Softball. This year, the initiative will bring extensive field renovations and makeovers to three deserving Little League programs in Dallas, Texas; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and San Diego, California. The enhancements for each field will be custom-tailored to meet the specific needs of the respective leagues.
In San Diego, the Serra Mesa Little League will see its four playing fields receive new soil, leveling, and conditioning. The renovations will also include the installation of new bases, a rebuilt pitcher’s mound, and the addition of trees to provide shade and comfort for fans.
The Drexel Hill Little League in Philadelphia will benefit from improvements designed to better accommodate the league’s youngest players and those with physical and intellectual challenges. The upgrades include new soil and grass, repaired dugout surfaces, updated equipment for the field’s PA system, and a tree to provide shade for spectators.
In Dallas, the South Garland Little League will witness the restoration of a field that had fallen into disrepair due to a lack of funding. The youngest divisions of play were unable to use the field. The makeover will involve installing outfield fencing, foul poles, new soil and grass, shaping the infield to bring it back to playable condition, and planting a tree for shade.
“The Ball Park of Dreams program remains a core initiative for our organization, and we are honored to renew our commitment to supporting Little Leaguers® across the country,” said Taylor Burgess, Brand Manager, Ball Park Buns. “We can’t wait to see what’s in store for 2024 and beyond.”
In addition to these major renovations, Ball Park Buns will lend support to 20 more local Little League programs in San Diego, Dallas, and Philadelphia. The brand will provide sponsorship funding, signage, and coupons to supply Ball Park Buns products in concession stands for the entire season.
The efforts of Ball Park Buns have not gone unnoticed by the Little League organization. Liz DiLullo Brown, Little League Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing and Business Relationship Officer, expressed gratitude for the company’s commitment to improving the experience for children and their families.
As part of its sponsorship, Ball Park Buns will proudly display the official Little League emblem on its packaging this summer, making it available in over 40,000 stores nationwide. The brand will also make its presence felt at this year’s Little League Baseball® World Series tournament in Williamsport, Pennsylvania. Featured products will be showcased at the concession stands, and fun activations will be offered at the complex’s Fan Zone.
The Ball Park of Dreams initiative is a testament to the power of corporate-community partnerships. It highlights the importance of nurturing the next generation of athletes by providing them with safe, well-maintained spaces to learn, play, and grow. As the baseball and softball season unfolds, the newly refurbished fields stand as a reminder that every kid deserves a field of dreams to call their own.
