NEWARK, DE — Newark’s food scene just gained a taste of Philadelphia with the opening of Balboa Steaks, the latest concept from the M2O Group. Located at 17 N. Chapel Street, the restaurant aims to deliver authentic Philly cheesesteaks to the Delaware community.

This marks the fourth concept from the Osmanollaj brothers, following the success of Bab’s Hot Chicken in Audubon, PA, and Newark. “As part of our continued growth in Newark, we’re thrilled to introduce Balboa Steaks and bring a Philly classic to the community,” the brothers said. “Quality, flavor, and great service is the core of each of our concepts.”

Balboa’s menu features a range of cheesesteak creations, including the classic Plain Cheesesteak made with 100% ribeye, the Italian Stallion with Cooper Sharp cheese and pizza sauce, and the indulgent Broad St. Bully loaded with provolone, fried onions, mushrooms, hot peppers, pickles, and Cheese Whiz. Sides like Philly Fries topped with ribeye and cheese wiz round out the offerings. Prices range from $14 for standard cheesesteaks to $18 for more elaborate options.

Open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m., Balboa Steaks brings not just food but a connection to Philadelphia’s rich culinary heritage, making it a new go-to destination for cheesesteak lovers in Newark.
