AUDUBON, PA — Montgomery County food enthusiasts have a savory new destination to look forward to. Babas Hot Chicken & Brews is set to open its doors in Audubon, PA, on February 26, 2024. The grand opening will feature a ribbon-cutting ceremony, free sandwiches for the first 100 guests, and live music spun by local DJ Spinatra.
The restaurant is the latest venture from Leo, Jim, and Pep Osmanollaj, the brothers behind M2o Burgers & Salads and Töska Restaurant & Brewery. But this project holds a special place in their hearts—it’s a tribute to their grandfather, Baba, who honed his hot chicken recipe on his farm in Kosovo. The brothers’ childhood memories of those meals, rich with flavor and family history, inspired them to bring Baba’s hot chicken to a broader audience.
Baba himself, now 82 and residing in Prizren, Kosovo, will be present at the opening ceremony. “Once he agreed [to share the recipe], we knew we had to do this in his honor and continue his legacy with the best hot chicken we grew up eating as kids,” said the Osmanollaj brothers.
The menu at Babas Hot Chicken & Brews promises a range of hearty options. Sandwiches include the Grilled Chicken ($7.49), Original ($7.99), Hot Mac ($8.49), and Southern BBQ ($8.49). For fans of bone-in chicken, the offerings range from 2 Whole Wings ($7.99) to 8 Whole Wings ($29.99). There are also boneless options, wraps, bowls, and plates served with two sides.
For the younger crowd, there’s a kids’ menu featuring tenders, grilled strips, and mac & cheese, all served with fries and a drink. Desserts include Grandma’s Cookie ($2.49), Banana Pudding ($3.99), Peach Cobbler ($3.99), and Custard ($4.99).
To wash down all that spicy chicken, the restaurant will serve beers from Töska Restaurant & Brewery, with options like Lager (4.0%, $5), Light Lager (4.5%, $5), Hazy IPA (6.3%, $6), and Regular IPA (7%, $6).
Babas Hot Chicken & Brews, located at 725 South Trooper Road, will be open Sunday through Thursday from 10:30 a.m.- 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10:30 a.m.- 10 p.m. The opening of Babas Hot Chicken & Brews offers foodies a delightful blend of family tradition, culinary innovation, and a lively atmosphere. It’s a welcome addition to Montgomery County’s vibrant dining scene.
