RADNOR, PAAvantor, Inc. (NYSE: AVTR) has officially opened its new Bridgewater Innovation Center, a cutting-edge research and development facility located in Bridgewater, NJ. The center, spanning 60,000 square feet, is a key addition to Avantor’s global network of 13 research and innovation centers, doubling its previous laboratory and pilot plant capacity.

Purpose-built to foster collaboration, the Bridgewater Innovation Center features specialized spaces for upstream and downstream process development, analytical testing labs, and a dedicated viral vector laboratory. An expanded pilot plant within the facility is designed to support scale-up simulations, facilitating rapid customization throughout the bioprocessing workflow.

Michael Stubblefield, President and CEO of Avantor, highlighted the center’s significance, stating, “Our new Bridgewater Innovation Center is twice the size of our previous facility and adds capacity, talent, and capabilities to support the growing demands for monoclonal antibodies, cell and gene therapy, and mRNA workflows.”

The Innovation Center is equipped to optimize and accelerate biomanufacturing processes on a large scale, promoting faster problem solving and streamlined knowledge exchange.
