KING OF PRUSSIA, PA — The Association of Title IX Administrators (ATIXA) and the National Association for Behavioral Intervention and Threat Assessment (NABITA) have unveiled plans for several in-person events throughout 2025. These gatherings will include winter and summer training sessions, culminating in their first-ever joint Annual Conference. The events are designed to provide valuable training and certification opportunities for higher education and K-12 professionals.
The Annual Conferences will feature shared keynote addresses, interactive roundtable discussions, and sessions that address topics relevant to both Title IX and behavioral intervention. Attendees can expect a collaborative atmosphere with a joint reception and expert-led courses before and after the conference, enhancing professional development and networking opportunities.
Saundra K. Schuster, President of ATIXA, emphasized the importance of collaboration. “Cooperation and resource-sharing among teams are critical,” she stated. “Bringing together interdepartmental teams can help reduce procedural redundancies and enhance everyone’s efforts.”
Makenzie Schiemann, President of NABITA, echoed this sentiment, highlighting the shared goals of Title IX and behavioral intervention teams. “Title IX and behavioral intervention teams (BITs) share common audiences and require similarly engaged stakeholders. We are thrilled to provide opportunities for colleagues to train and travel together, fostering collaboration and reducing isolation,” she said.
