LANCASTER, PA — A Lancaster woman is wanted by local authorities following an alleged theft from a Dollar Tree store where she was reportedly employed. The case has sent shockwaves through the community, prompting an urgent appeal for information.

On February 7, 2024, Sandra L. Palacios, 52, allegedly took unauthorized possession of the store’s bank deposit valued at $2,255.29. A video from the Dollar Tree, located at 1280 Lititz Pike, purportedly shows Palacios handling the deposit before departing the premises for the evening.

According to police officials, a witness reported receiving a phone call from Palacios herself. During the call, she allegedly confessed to taking the bank deposit and subsequently gambling the money away at a casino.

The allegations against Palacios led to the filing of a criminal complaint and the issuance of an arrest warrant on February 14, 2024. As of now, Palacios remains at large and is considered a wanted person.

The Manheim Township Police Department is urging anyone with knowledge of Palacios’ whereabouts to come forward. Individuals can contact the department directly at 717-569-6401 or submit information anonymously online.

As we continue to report on this unfolding story, it’s important to remember that these are allegations, and Palacios, like all persons accused of a crime, is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law. More details will be shared as they become available and as the investigation into this alleged incident continues.
