GLENSIDE, PA — Arcadia University, a highly-ranked Pennsylvania-based institution, is set to launch an array of new academic programs and major fields of study starting in the fall of 2024. The move is in line with the university’s commitment to providing career-focused, interdisciplinary education to students.

Undergraduates at Arcadia will now have the opportunity to select from a wide range of major fields of study. These include Applied Statistics, Art and Technology, Arts Administration, Biochemistry, Creative Writing, and Gender and Sexuality Studies. Other offerings include Global Displacement and Human Rights Advocacy, International Relations, Diplomacy, and Law, Law and Public Policy, Marketing, Pan African Studies, Peace and Conflict Resolution, and Political Science.

The university will also introduce a minor in Japanese in the upcoming academic year. Moreover, new master’s degree programs in Rehabilitation Science and Public Health (4+1 program) will be available, along with certificate programs in Health Equity; Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Wellbeing; and Organizational Leadership.

Arcadia’s Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs, Jeff Rutenbeck, expressed excitement about the new offerings. “These upcoming academic programs allow students even more options to earn degrees at Arcadia University, while preparing them for sustained career success,” he said. “We carefully craft programs and fields of study that address the rapidly changing world in which we live and provide students with what they need to remain flexible and innovative in their professional careers.”

Many of these new programs will incorporate elements of Arcadia’s top-ranked study abroad programs, which have been recognized as #1 in Pennsylvania and #11 nationally by U.S. News & World Report. This focus on global education has also led to the university’s recognition as one of the Most Innovative Colleges.

All courses are taught by expert faculty at Arcadia’s Glenside campus, located just outside Philadelphia, in a small, personalized setting. The programs continue with Arcadia’s focus on preparing students for career success: 97 percent of recent Arcadia students secured jobs or graduate program placements within 6 to 9 months of earning their degrees.

With these new offerings, Arcadia University continues to demonstrate its commitment to providing students with a customized education that prepares them for the professional world. Interested students can learn more about these programs and apply at arcadia.edu.
