Aramark Volunteers Unite Globally for Annual Community Service Day

Aramark

PHILADELPHIA, PA — More than 3,000 Aramark employees across 13 countries are coming together for the company’s annual day of service, Aramark Building Community Day (ABC Day), on April 10. This global initiative, part of Aramark’s signature volunteer program, engages employees in projects that address critical community needs, from promoting environmental stewardship to enhancing access to food and hospitality-focused career opportunities.

“Aramark is a hospitality company at its core,” said Debbie Albert, Senior Vice President of Aramark Corporate Affairs. “Intentionally giving back to the communities where we live and work is just another way our employees embody Aramark’s core values.”

This year, more than 120 community projects will span locations as diverse as the United States, Mexico, South Korea, and Germany. Highlighted efforts include building outdoor furniture and inspiring murals at the R.W. Brown Boys & Girls Club in Philadelphia, creating energy-efficient stoves for families in Mexico City, and providing healthy meals for children and seniors in Seoul, South Korea.

Local contributions in the U.S. involve efforts such as painting family cottages in Dallas, hosting healthy eating demonstrations in Greater Washington, D.C., and refreshing a school library and basketball courts in Phoenix, AZ.

Kirsten Markovich, Aramark’s Community Relations Director, praised the program’s impact, noting, “The dedication and passion of our volunteers is truly remarkable. By dedicating their time and expertise, they are making significant contributions to the communities we serve year-round.”

Since its launch more than a decade ago, ABC Day continues to reflect Aramark’s commitment to fostering positive change. With this year’s projects, the company reaffirms its focus on creating lasting impacts in local communities while building momentum for future initiatives.
