WEST CONSHOHOCKEN, PA — Montgomery County residents, prepare for a significant traffic disruption. Aqua Pennsylvania has announced plans to replace a water main starting next week on Route 23 (Conshohocken State Road) in West Conshohocken Borough, a project that will persist through mid-April.

Starting Thursday, January 18, and continuing until Monday, April 22, weekday lane closures with flagging are scheduled on Route 23 between Crawford Avenue and Spring Garden Street/Four Falls Corporate Center. The work will be conducted from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, coinciding with many residents’ daily commutes.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through the work area, as backups and delays are expected. While the inconvenience may be frustrating for local drivers, the ultimate goal of the project is to improve the quality and reliability of the water infrastructure in the area.

The construction timeline is subject to change based on weather conditions, adding another layer of uncertainty for motorists. The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) and Aqua Pennsylvania remind drivers to exercise caution when approaching construction zones, particularly in inclement weather.

Aqua Pennsylvania will carry out this project under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
