Aqua Pennsylvania Schedules Utility Construction on State Highways in Delaware County

Aqua Pennsylvania

DELAWARE COUNTY, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania has announced plans to carry out utility construction on several state highways in Delaware County, leading to expected travel restrictions and delays.

From Wednesday, September 6, through Wednesday, January 31, 2024, Beatty Road will be closed and detoured on weekdays between Baltimore Pike and Woodridge Lane in Nether Providence Township. The closure will be in effect from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During these hours, motorists will be directed to use Route 320 (Sproul Road), Old Marple Road/State Road, Route 252 (Providence Road), and Baltimore Pike. Local access will be maintained up to the construction zone.

Additionally, a weekday lane closure with flagging is scheduled on U.S. 13 (MacDade Boulevard) at the intersection with Yeadon Avenue in Yeadon Borough. This closure will occur from Monday, December 4, through Friday, December 22, between 9:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

Motorists are advised to allow extra time when traveling through or near the work areas due to anticipated backups and delays. All scheduled activities are dependent on weather conditions.

These projects will be completed under a PennDOT Highway Occupancy Permit.
