NETHER PROVIDENCE TWP, PA — Aqua Pennsylvania is set to begin water utility construction on Brookhaven Road in Nether Providence Township, Delaware County, starting Monday, March 31. The project aims to improve water service infrastructure in the area and will continue through Friday, May 16.
During this period, Brookhaven Road will be closed weekdays from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM between Rodgers Lane and Possum Hollow Road. While the road closure is in effect, local motorists will be directed to follow a detour route, utilizing Possum Hollow Road, Route 252 (Providence Road), Baltimore Pike, and Wallingford Road/Plush Mill Road/Rodgers Lane.
Access for residents within the vicinity of the construction zone will be maintained up to the work area. However, Aqua Pennsylvania is cautioning drivers to plan for added travel time due to potential delays and traffic backups near the construction site.
The company has noted that the outlined schedule is weather dependent and subject to change. Aqua Pennsylvania appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as it works to complete these essential upgrades to the local water system.
