LANCASTER, PA — In an audacious daylight theft, a couple is alleged to have stolen two bottles of wine from Fine Wine and Good Spirits store on Lincoln Highway East. The East Lampeter Township Police Department is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the duo.

According to police, the incident occurred at approximately 1:20 PM on January 2, 2024. Surveillance images show a woman entering the store with a large black bag. She reportedly handed the bag to a male companion and selected a bottle of wine, which was then placed into the bag held open by the man. Subsequently, the woman chose a second bottle of wine and handed it to the man, who again concealed it in the bag. The couple is then alleged to have left the store without paying for the merchandise, valued at over $40.

The police department has released surveillance photos of the two suspects in hopes that someone may recognize them or have information about the incident. Anyone familiar with either suspect or who has information regarding this crime is urged to contact the East Lampeter Township Police Department at 717-291-4676.

As the investigation continues, it’s important to remember that these allegations are not a declaration of guilt. The individuals pictured in the surveillance photos are suspects and are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
