Aaron Goldstein Appointed County Attorney for New Castle County

NEW CASTLE, DE — Aaron Goldstein, a seasoned public servant with over two decades of legal expertise, has been appointed County Attorney for New Castle County by County Executive-Elect Marcus Henry. This leadership role places Goldstein at the helm of the county’s legal operations.

“Aaron’s experience in public service, combined with his proven track record and legal expertise, will ensure that New Castle County has strong and effective legal representation,” Henry stated in his announcement.

Goldstein’s extensive career includes serving in senior legal positions within the Delaware Department of Justice, such as Chief Deputy Attorney General, Chief Legal Ethics Officer, and State Solicitor. He is currently the Chief Staff Attorney for the Delaware Court of Chancery and has previously worked as Assistant County Attorney for New Castle County, Assistant City Solicitor for Wilmington, and Assistant Public Defender for Delaware.

As County Attorney, Goldstein will oversee all legal services for the county, including litigation, contract management, legal counsel, and workers’ compensation. His role will also involve advising the County Executive and Chief Administrative Officer, developing key legal policies, and leading a team of legal professionals to ensure the county’s interests are fully represented and protected.

Goldstein, a graduate of the University of Delaware and Widener University School of Law, brings a long-standing commitment to public service to his latest position. His appointment reflects a strategic focus on maintaining strong legal governance for New Castle County under the incoming administration.
