VALLEY FORGE, PA — To be reflective of its evolving business model and expanded product line, A-G Administrators has rebranded itself as A-G Specialty Insurance, LLC. This name change, according to Chief Executive Officer Dixon Gillis, is more than a cosmetic update; it signifies the company’s growth and diversified offerings beyond its original focus.
Founded over four decades ago by Al Gillis, Dixon’s father, the company initially served local K-12 school districts by managing accident accounts. From these humble beginnings, A-G has grown into a prominent provider of insurance solutions, now catering to over 725 colleges and universities, more than 3,200 K-12 schools and school systems, and around 3,000 youth sports organizations, including several National Governing Bodies.
The transition to A-G Specialty Insurance is seen by the company’s leadership as a necessary step to accurately represent its broadened capabilities and the specialized services it provides. “Changing our name to A-G Specialty Insurance honors our history while, at the same time, it embraces our ever-growing suite of products and services,” Dixon Gillis stated, emphasizing the desire to maintain the legacy of excellence instigated by his father while adapting to the future demands of the industry.
This rebranding also reflects a strategic positioning within the competitive insurance market, signaling a shift towards offering more nuanced and tailor-made insurance solutions. By adopting a name that encompasses the specialty nature of its services, A-G aims to attract a wider client base and solidify its reputation as a versatile and innovative insurance provider.
Al Gillis’s founding motto, “Achieve Greatness,” remains a guiding principle for the company as it navigates this new chapter. Dixon Gillis’s anticipation of what lies ahead for A-G Specialty Insurance underscores a commitment to innovation and excellence in service delivery, promising continued growth and adaptation in an industry that is as dynamic as it is challenging.
