AMBLER, PA — Montgomery County’s highly anticipated Frostbite Run has a new date. Originally set for Saturday, February 17, 2024, the race is rescheduled to February 24, 2024, prioritizing the safety of the runners amidst current weather conditions.

The 25th Annual Frostbite 5-Miler is a much-loved event in the area, known for its mostly flat course with gently rolling hills. Sponsored by the Ambler Area Running Club, it is one of the most renowned February races in the region. Despite the date change, the race will go ahead regardless of rain, sleet, snow, or hail, unless the safety of runners is at risk.

The race is part of the USATF Mid-Atlantic region Grand Prix race series and is expected to draw a large crowd. However, registration is strictly limited to 1500 runners to prevent overcrowding. Those interested in participating are encouraged to register early to secure their spot and benefit from the best prices.

Aside from being an exciting athletic event, the Frostbite 5-Miler also serves a charitable purpose. Proceeds and donations from the 2024 races will be shared among local charities chosen by AARC members, contributing to the well-being of the broader community.

For more details about the race, including information about awards, directions, and the course description, visit the Ambler Area Running Club’s website.

Mark your calendars for February 24 and get ready to lace up your running shoes for the Frostbite 5-Miler. Whether you’re a seasoned runner or a first-time participant, this event promises a memorable experience for all.
