WEST CHESTER, PA — Chester CountyJudge Forzato sentenced 58-year-old Eugene Weiss of East Coventry, PA, this week to 35-70 years in state prison for sexually abusing a child victim from ages 8-15 years old. The defendant was convicted by a jury of multiple counts of rape of a child, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse, and aggravated indecent assault on July 10, 2023.
Chester County District Attorney Deb Ryan said, “The defendant engaged in a devastating pattern of depravity against an innocent and defenseless child, and he robbed her of a healthy childhood. This courageous survivor came forward decades later and was able to obtain justice with the help of the Chester County Detectives, ADA Zack Yurick, and the Crime Victims’ Center. Her bravery is remarkable. Now the defendant will never be able to harm another child again with this lengthy sentence.”
According to ADA Zachary Yurick, on January 31, 2021, Chester County Detectives interviewed a 35-year-old woman who disclosed that she was abused as a child by the defendant when she was between the ages of 8-15 years old. She also stated that the abuse occurred regularly at a residence in East Coventry Township, and in the defendant’s vehicle. At the time the defendant committed these crimes he was between the ages of 28-36 years old.
The Chester County Detectives investigated. ADA Zachary Yurick was the assigned prosecutor.
