HARRISBURG, PA — Attorney General Dave Sunday has announced a pivotal agreement concerning the future of the Crozer Health system following a high-level meeting hosted by the Office of Attorney General on Friday, March 21.

The agreement involves The Foundation for Delaware County, which will play a key role in the ongoing efforts to maintain Crozer Health’s operations. Restructuring plans for the health system are currently being led by FTI Consulting, as the appointed receiver, with the expectation of eventually transitioning to a permanent non-profit owner. Discussions with regional healthcare providers concerning the permanent ownership remain active and are being conducted in good faith.

“Today, all parties involved in developing a long-term solution to keep the Crozer Health system open and operational met for a meeting in Harrisburg. I am pleased to announce that an agreement was reached with The Foundation for Delaware County,” stated Attorney General Sunday.

The meeting, attended by representatives from the Office of Attorney General, the Governor’s Office, The Foundation for Delaware County, a Patient Care Ombudsman, FTI Consulting, Prospect Medical, Delaware County, and the Unsecured Creditors Committee (UCC), highlighted a collective focus on ensuring accessible healthcare for Delaware County residents. The discussions also emphasized the importance of workforce stability to support these efforts.

“There is much work to be done, but we will not stop fighting on behalf of Pennsylvanians,” Sunday affirmed, noting the commitment to updating the bankruptcy court, which holds ultimate approval authority over the restructuring plans, at an upcoming hearing.

The agreement marks a significant step forward in the ongoing process to safeguard healthcare access for the community while working toward resolving Crozer Health’s financial and organizational challenges.
